Keith grew up in Glendale and took his first automotive job at a shop directly behind this building, before the 101 was even built. Fifty years later he lives five minutes from the bay doors, and the parts accounts are already open with more than five classic vendors.

Before the shop, Keith ran service departments. The trade magazine put him on the cover for it. Same job, fewer meetings.
Thirteen cars fit indoors. If it stays overnight it stays in the building — locked, out of the sun, out of reach. No open lot.

An older car isn’t harder to fix. It needs a different skill set — one most modern shops don’t have any more. That’s a reason to come here, not a reason to be charged double. Parts quoted before anybody orders them.

Appointment only, and the parts are on the shelf before you drive over. Goal is same day. That's how the floor stays clear.

Not the kid who got stuck with your Chevelle. The people turning wrenches here chose these cars and know what a Quadrajet should sound like.

Six photographs of the kind of car that belongs on one of these lifts. The ones people keep, argue about, and hand down.
We only just opened, so there are no reviews yet, because there have barely been customers. We could have written three. Plenty of shops do. Instead this space stays empty until somebody real puts something in it.
The first car through the door gets the first one.
No body work. No paint. No upholstery. No frame-off restorations. MidMod Motors is a mechanical shop, and pretending otherwise would waste your money and our bay. If your car needs metal or paint we’ll tell you straight and point you to someone who does that work well.
Tell us the car and what it’s doing. (602) 357-0795, or the form below. You’ll talk to somebody who knows what you mean.
Before your car ever rolls in. That’s the whole trick — nothing occupies a bay waiting on a box.
By appointment, into one of six bays. If it stays overnight it stays inside the locked building.
Goal is same day. You get a call either way — never silence, never a surprise invoice.
Our sweet spot is 1960s through 1980s American vehicles — Camaros, Chevelles, Corvettes, Rivieras, 442s, Trans Ams, C10 trucks, and more. We work on some 1950s vehicles and select imports too.
We quote every job before we start, and parts are quoted before anybody orders them. You are not paying a premium because the car is older — a 1972 Eldorado is not harder to work on than a 2025 Camry, it just needs a skill set most modern shops no longer have. Call and we will talk about what yours needs.
Yes. If we need to keep your car overnight, it stays inside — locked, out of the Arizona sun, protected. We hold up to 13 vehicles inside. Your car does not sit in a parking lot.
You can bring your own parts, or we can source them. We have accounts with multiple classic car parts vendors and can locate most mechanical parts for 1960s–1980s vehicles quickly.
No. We are a mechanical repair shop — engine work, brakes, electrical, tune-ups, cooling, transmission. No body work, no paint, no upholstery. We keep your car running great.
We're appointment-based, so parts are ordered before your car arrives. Our goal is same-day completion. Most jobs run 4–5 hours of labor.
Yes. If you're a MidMod customer and your daily driver needs service, bring it in. Classic cars are our specialty but we're a full mechanical repair shop.
Peoria, Arizona — West Valley, on the west side of the 101, close to Sun City and Glendale. We're specifically here so you don't have to cross the freeway to find a shop that cares about your car.
Yes — most of what comes through here arrives on a flatbed. If it hasn’t started in a while, or you’d rather not drive it across town, we work with Northwest Valley Towing in Glendale. Call them direct at 602-615-1604 and tell them it’s coming to MidMod. Book the bay first so the parts are here when the car is.
